Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 11, 2026
Caddio Golf ("Caddio," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Caddio LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have about your data when you use the Caddio mobile application. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at tony@caddio.app.
Who This Policy Applies To
Caddio is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a user under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at tony@caddio.app.
Information We Collect
We aim to collect only the data we actually need to make Caddio work. We do not run analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, advertising frameworks, or third-party data brokers. The data we do collect falls into a few categories.
Account Information
When you sign in to Caddio using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive:
A unique account identifier
Your email address (Apple users may choose to share a private relay address instead)
Your name (Apple users only, on first sign-in)
We use these to create and manage your Caddio account.
Profile Information
During onboarding, we ask a few optional questions to personalize your experience:
Skill level (beginner, casual, competitive, low handicap)
The launch monitor you use (Trackman, Garmin, Rapsodo, etc.)
The simulator software you use
Where you typically play (home setup, commercial venue, course, mix)
You can skip any of these. They're stored on our servers so your settings persist across devices.
Some additional profile fields, including your display name and handicap, are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
Launch Monitor Data and Screenshots
When you upload a screenshot of your launch monitor, Caddio:
Sends the image to Anthropic's API for OCR processing (see Section 3)
Stores the original screenshot in encrypted private cloud storage so you can review past sessions and so we can keep improving accuracy
Saves the extracted shot data (carry distance, ball speed, smash factor, launch angle, and similar metrics) to your account
Stored screenshots are accessible only by you and by authorized Caddio personnel for technical support and product improvement. They are never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party outside of the service providers listed in Section 3.
Chat and Insight Content
When you interact with the in-app caddie chat or generate insights, the contents of those conversations and the data we send to generate them are processed by Anthropic's API and stored in your account so you can revisit them.
Information We Do Not Collect
For clarity, Caddio does not collect:
Location or GPS data
Device contacts, calendars, or photos beyond the screenshots you specifically choose to upload
Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or tracking signals
Audio recordings
Push notification tokens
Crash reports or analytics events from third-party SDKs
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
Provide the Caddio service, including OCR, insights, performance tracking, and chat
Improve our OCR accuracy and expand support for additional launch monitors
Communicate with you about your account or important service updates
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising of any kind.
Service Providers We Share Data With
To operate Caddio, we share specific data with the following providers. Each is contractually bound to handle your data only for the purposes we authorize.

Anthropic (AI processing). Processes screenshots for OCR extraction and processes session data and chat content to generate insights. Anthropic does not train its models on Caddio data and retains data for no more than 30 days for trust and safety purposes, after which it is deleted. For details, see Anthropic's Commercial Terms at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms. We do not send your name, email, or other identifiers to Anthropic.
Apple and Google (authentication only). Used solely to verify your identity at sign-in. We do not share any other data with them through Caddio.
Expo (over-the-air updates). Delivers app updates to your device. Does not receive any user account or session data.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 5).
When you delete your account, all data associated with it, including profile information, session history, shot data, screenshots, chat history, and generated insights, is permanently deleted from our systems.
Anthropic retains data sent to its API for no more than 30 days, after which it is deleted in accordance with their commercial terms.
